Starting a new school year brings fresh energy and exciting opportunities. As a parent and fellow PTA member, I want to warmly welcome all our new members. This year promises to be full of memorable moments and meaningful involvement. Together, we can create a supportive community that benefits our children and enriches their school experience.
Events On the Horizon
Our PTA has planned several events that offer great ways to connect, contribute, and celebrate. Here are some highlights you won’t want to miss:
Kindergarten Tears & Cheers - August 20th
This event is a special moment for parents and little ones starting their school journey. It’s a chance to share stories, offer support, and celebrate the big step into kindergarten. New parents often find comfort in hearing from experienced families, and it’s a wonderful way to build friendships early on. Sign up to bring refreshments HERE!
First Member Meeting After Labor Day
Our first official meeting will take place shortly after Labor Day. This is where we discuss plans, approve the budget, gather ideas, and organize volunteers. It’s a great opportunity to get involved in decision-making and learn how you can help throughout the year.
Tie Dye Night - Date TBD
A fun, creative evening for families to enjoy together. Tie Dye Night is not only about making colorful shirts but also about building community spirit. It’s a relaxed setting where parents and kids can bond and make lasting memories.
Fall Festival & Pig Raffle - October 9th 5:30pm-8:00pm
One of our biggest events, the Fall Festival, combines games, food, and entertainment for the whole family. The Pig Raffle adds an exciting twist, with chances to win prizes while supporting school programs. This event relies heavily on volunteers, so it’s a perfect way to contribute your time and energy.
How to Get Involved
Joining the PTA is just the first step. Here are some practical ways to make the most of your membership:
Volunteer for Events
Whether it’s setting up decorations, managing a game booth, or helping with food, volunteers are the backbone of every event. You don’t need special skills—just a willingness to help.
Attend Meetings
Meetings keep you informed and connected. They’re also a platform to share your ideas and hear from other parents and staff.
Spread the Word
Encourage other parents to join and participate. A strong PTA depends on active members who support each other.
Why Your Participation Matters
Being part of the PTA is more than attending events. It’s about building a community that supports our children’s education and well-being. When parents work together, schools can offer better programs, safer environments, and richer experiences.
For example, last year’s fundraising efforts gave each classroom money to buy supplies and/or fun experiences. These improvements directly impact our children’s daily lives. Your involvement helps continue and expand these benefits.

You don’t have to do everything at once. Pick one event or committee that interests you and see how it goes.

Many events are family-friendly. Bringing your children can make volunteering more fun and meaningful.

Check emails, newsletters, and the PTA website regularly. This helps you stay informed about upcoming events and opportunities.
